    My new ISU cycling kit

My new found friends at the Iowa State Cycling Club came through with getting me their 2010 kit. They call it "retro", as a 1994 grad, it looked current to me!

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

    Nice uni.

Also, I find it somewhat strange that someone who is into cycling has the name "Cydswipe"...

Are those widely available, or just through the club?

Re: My new ISU cycling kit

DaddyMac,I believe in the past they had limited selection at the Bike World store in Ames. I saw the new logo jerseys at Scheels, knew that these club members at school wouldn't see a dime from the sale and contacted them for their real kit. I didn't really care about the cost, as long as the cycling club got the extra $$.

white kits for amatuer cyclists is a terrible, terrible, terrible plan. pro cyclists barely pull it off-not a huge fan.

As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs

Pardon my ignorance, but what does a white colored kit have to do with anything???

Not sure what JMB's feelings are about it. The obvious reason would be keeping it white. Tire spray, grease from chain and sprockets. You're very exposed riding.

But I have a couple white/mainly white jerseys and don't hany any issues. Love to have that one above.

But I'd never, ever buy/wear white cycling shorts. Black is much more.... discrete.

Awww, yes, makes sense. I guess the same goes for white shoes. They look sweet when they are clean, but once they get dirty, they look like crap.
