    DMB taking 2011 off

For those DMB fans they announced that they are not touring in 2011.

If you want to see em go this summer who knows if they will get back together.

Hopefully this just means we'll only have to wait 3 years for a new album this time...

    Re: DMB taking 2011 off

In other news, fratboys were seen openly weeping and tearing at their clothes in malls across the US...bearing signs saying "What will they take next? Visors and khaki pants?!?!"

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.

Yeah! NO. DMB is great. You can hate on them as much as you want, but their music is quality.

Sounded like Stefan was pretty bummed about the decision. But they've been touring pretty relentlessly since...well, forever so one year off isn't the end of the world.

We've been to Alpine Valley the last two summers and will probably try to go this year now too. Great venue.

Considering the news item explicitly mentions that they will be back for the 2012 touring season, I wouldn't be overly concerned about them not coming back. These guys have been road warriors for many, many years. They can take a well deserved break if they so choose. And I wouldn't be shocked if we see something interesting come out of this as well. Perhaps another Dave Matthews solo album? Some of the best material Dave has written in the past several years is off of Some Devil so I would gladly welcome another solo effort.

Right. But do you think they are going to come out and say this is it? I am sure a Dave solo, Dave and tim or Dave and friends tour will be in order.

"Sometimes I fear the reality of the things I know and the misleading of the truth in the message" -Stefan's twitter

doesnt sound too good to me. he is the youngest so it would make sense he would be against stopping touring. I doubt they come out with anymore news about this for a while.
