    Re: Recruit: Teddy Lampkin

thats fast! And a good long jump almost always = fast runner

These numbers are actually legit. The 40 yard dash times kids send to rivals are 95% BS. This guy proved his speed in a track meet. We need guys with his type speed

I'm hoping Ted Lampkin commits to ISU. I'd like him to be the first to commit this year.

Does anyone know if the Huskers are going to offer this guy? I hate to say it but in-state kid... that would really decrease our chances.

Is this guy interested in ISU or even play Fball? Why would this be on a football forum?

If you click the link on the first post, it'll take you to his football page. It says he has an offer from ISU.

Actually this guy looks better than most of the reel tape players that we have seen. He looks like he has a nose for the ball and can do many things.I am impressed.

At least look into the guy before questioning the thread.

Believe me, Lampkin has not flown under Nebraska's radar. He participated in Nebraska's "Junior Days" in late February and is very, very interested in the Huskers. At this point, he has only two offers, from Iowa State and Kansas State, but my hunch is that ultimately he will recieve an offer from Nebraska. Since coming to Lincoln, Bo hasn't shown a need to "jump the gun" on scholarship offers and in some cases, waits until things begin to "shake out" before making offers. Obviously, there are a lot of cases where the offer comes quickly, but in other cases, he has been willing to wait and see how things develop. Last year, Bo was able to get Bronson Marsh, a quarterback from Millard South as a "grey shirt", very late in the process (as a matter of fact, the kid didn't make his decision until signing day), although he certainly hadn't attracted the national interest that Lampkin has. I think especially with in-state kids, who have grown up loving the Huskers, you probably can get away with some of that.

By the way, in case you are wondering, according to the recruiting websites, his schools of interest include Nebraska, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan, Stanford and UCLA. The only drawback I can see is his size. He's listed at 5' 7", 159. He definitely has the speed an appears to have great leaping ability.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
