    MOTHER'S DAY

    So what did you do for your mom/or mother of your children for Mother's Day?

    I live about 1000 miles away so my mom got a potted flower.

    I surprised my mom by getting my sisters both back to our hometown last night, and having them at the restaurant when I brought my parents up there. She was pretty surprised and enjoyed it quite a bit.

    I sent my 15 yr old son down the block a couple of houses to the neighbors lilac bushes with a pruning shear. My wife liked the lilacs; however, my son got his *** chewed during the process.

    my wife works weekends at hospital, we just got back eating lunch with her. Both kids love doing that. sent my mom some flowers.

    I thanked my mom for being a cyclone fan. She always told me: "If you grow up to be respectful of others, and don't like the hawkeyes, you will be okay."

    My dad took my mom to Holubs and let her get all of her yearly flowers and plants.
    One of her favorite places in Ames is the Cafe so I took her there.

    My brother and I did outdoor work for our mom. He took take of the lawn and I cleaned the garage in addition to getting flowers.

    Honestly, I bought her a gift and we ate dinner.

    Then we all sat around and watched my ISU 2009 football highlight video that my parents had not seen yet.

    We went to the Blue Mountain restaurant in Orange City for a mothers day brunch. Great restaurant. Took my wife, mother in law and my daughter.
