    MOTHER'S DAY

So what did you do for your mom/or mother of your children for Mother's Day?

I live about 1000 miles away so my mom got a potted flower.

    Re: MOTHER'S DAY

I surprised my mom by getting my sisters both back to our hometown last night, and having them at the restaurant when I brought my parents up there. She was pretty surprised and enjoyed it quite a bit.

I sent my 15 yr old son down the block a couple of houses to the neighbors lilac bushes with a pruning shear. My wife liked the lilacs; however, my son got his *** chewed during the process.

    Re: MOTHER'S DAY

I thanked my mom for being a cyclone fan. She always told me: "If you grow up to be respectful of others, and don't like the hawkeyes, you will be okay."

    Re: MOTHER'S DAY

My dad took my mom to Holubs and let her get all of her yearly flowers and plants.
One of her favorite places in Ames is the Cafe so I took her there.

My brother and I did outdoor work for our mom. He took take of the lawn and I cleaned the garage in addition to getting flowers.

    Re: MOTHER'S DAY

Honestly, I bought her a gift and we ate dinner.

Then we all sat around and watched my ISU 2009 football highlight video that my parents had not seen yet.

    Re: MOTHER'S DAY

I called my Mom, she lives 3 hours away. But the wife sent a card as well. We are going up to Sheldon next week so that should be good enough.

We went to the Blue Mountain restaurant in Orange City for a mothers day brunch. Great restaurant. Took my wife, mother in law and my daughter.

We sent a card and a gift card, and I had a nice talk with her on the phone today.
