    Gray's Lake Park

Anybody ever been down to Gray's Lake in Des Moines? I think its such an awesome place to go on a nice day. At night the bridge that you walk over the lake with lights up in these sweet colors

    Take a look:

Its approx. 2 mile run/walk around the lake. I very much recommend it. Its an awesome time.

It's a blast roller blading there, that's for sure.

Cool picture. Kind of reminds me of the bridge in Greenville, SC. Except that curves out high over a river and waterfall, and the bridge doesn't look like it's safe because of the weird construction.

    Re: Gray's Lake Park

Grays Lake is a crown jewel in the city of Des Moines. Business people that fly into DM and taxi downtown ride right by the lake and get a favorable 1st impression. Thank goodness for the vision of former Register publisher David Kruidenier. He lead with generosity to knock down the flooded out Holiday Inn and build a walking trail around the lake. The park is crazy popular and will see countless health enthusiasts every day of the year.

The little boats you can take out on the lake are always pretty cool too.
