Greg Stokes' kid walking on at Iowa

We get ex-player Hoiberg. They bring in ex-player Ryan Bowen (per DSM Register).

They bring in Greg Stokes' (man he used to be great) kid as a walk-on. I think we need to match that by bringing in Grayer's kid or kids, and then raise them one by bringing in Barry's kid, Darius.

    Stokes story at: http://www.desmoinesregister.com/art...become-walk-on

Bowen story at: Hawkeye basketball: Ryan Bowen named video coordinator, administrative assistant | desmoinesregister.com | The Des Moines Register

Yeah, they got Bowen as their video coordinator.

Anyone know if there's a real chance Grayer's kids could come to ISU?

So we get walk-ons to one-up Iowa's walk-ons? That's the way to build a program.

I don't mean to put a young person down but he was a marginal high school player, at best. If he gets PT, I think it's a bad sign for the Hawks!

I have no knowledge of this so called Dugout Doug fellow you speak of?

I think they were both great generals Doug just has better pics because he was cockier than hell, and Patton was more straight laced.

His man men called him dugout dug doug because he was always hiding out underground unlike Patton who preferred to be with the men at the front lines.

Something tells me the Iowa players were not smart enough to reference Patton and any sort of Patton things.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Re: Greg Stokes' kid walking on at Iowa

His headquarters during the period of defeat in the Philippines was in the island fortress of Corregidor, while making only one trip to the front lines in Bataan led to the disparaging moniker and ditty "Dugout Doug." in 2 years

He has grown a lot this year but he will have to work hard. They don't have much of a shot at Kiah imo.
