    Re: CF Mailbag: 5-5 Edition

CW: The simple answer to your question is no. Iowa State finished 22nd nationally in this year’s Director’s Cup. That means that overall, Iowa State University is the 22nd strongest athletic department in America. Iowa State has never been more dedicated to winning than they are right now. Iowa State’s athletic budget has increased exponentially since Jamie Pollard took over. Iowa State is heading in the right direction.

Wrong. The standings are not yet final for the year. So ISU is the 22nd most successful athletic program so far this year.

I had to youtube your song, sounds like a good choice. Compromise is always good, and when in doubt, defer to Mrs. C-Willy.

FYI, our wedding reception was at Hickory Hall, not long after they'd switched it from Hunky Dory's. Nothing screams class like giant neon palm trees and antler chandeliers. Everyone had a great time, though, and that's all that matters.

Our first song was I Want All of You by the Verve Pipe. It fit us.

And come on, you mean to say you won't be waxing rhapsodic in any blog posts about the beautiful Mrs. C-Willy? Really?

I took Intimate Relationships at ISU. I believe it was Soc. 219. Regrettably, pornographers did not meet the criteria for an "intimate relationship". I'm sure you can imagine my disappointment.

Not to be a hater, but how do we do if you look at men's and women's teams separately. We are becoming a women's sports power. I guess we have that going for us - which is nice.

But hey, why do people always hate on that fact? Even if you couldn't care less about volleyball and women's basketball, it's still better to be a power in women's sports only than to not be a power in anything. I mean, it's not like those programs' successes are making football and men's basketball less successful. If anything they're helping because the high attendance takes away the budget blow that a lot of schools face with their women's programs - and that means more money is available for football and men's basketball as well.

I think there has been a reason that JP immediately focused on improving our directors cup standing. ....
