Tigers broadcaster Eddie Harwell dies at 92

Hall of Fame baseball broadcaster Ernie Harwell has died. He was 92.

The Detroit Free Press reports Harwell died Tuesday night at a retirement center in Novi, Mich. He was diagnosed with cancer in his bile duct last year.
Harwell, a native of Georgia, broadcast Tigers games for 42 seasons, from 1960 through 1991, and 1993 through 2002. In all, he called games for 55 seasons. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981

He was one of the best. Didn't care for Tigers but enjoyed listening to him

Didn't he have a gig on public radio for awhile?
