    Heisman 2010?

Who does everyone think will win it this year, maybe not including Ingram?

Some possibles off the top of my head and some that I have heard people throw out:

    Mark Ingram (duh)-RB, Alabama
    Jake Locker-QB, Washington
    Quizz Rodgers- RB, Oregon State
    Terrelle Pryor-QB, Ohio State
    Matt Barkley-QB, USC
    Kellen Moore- QB, Boise State
    Mark Herzlich-LB, Boston College
    Case Keenum-QB, Houston
    Jacory Harris- QB, Miami
    LaMichael James-RB, Oregon
    AJ Green-WR, Georgia
    Christian Ponder-QB, Florida State
    Blaine Gabbert- QB, Missouri
    Zach? Collaros- QB, Cincy
    Jerrod Johnson- QB, Texas A&M
    Von Miller- LB/DE, Texas A&M
and of course (I know I would catch flak if I didnt include)
    Alexander Robinson-RB, Iowa State
Ricky Stanzi (love it or leave it)-QB, Eastern University of Iowa

Personally I am pulling for the defensive players Miller and Herzlich first and foremost, but they probably don't even have a snowball's chance to will. After that, I think if the smurfs can go undefeated again this year Kellen Moore has a chance. Jacory Harris could be a legitimate contender if the U can win the ACC this year, because he is real fun to watch and gritty. Jake Locker is probably the best player on the list, but he plays for Washington..

I like the little guy from Oregon State or Ryan Mallett QB from Arkansas.. can't leave him off the list of best QBs in the country.. Arkansas would have been damn tough last year if they had a defense. They could put up 50 points and still lose.

If he stays healthy, I think Kellen Moore will take it. If Boise State goes undefeated beating Va Tech and Oregon State along the way, he will be a big reason for it.

You're right, on a list that long I'm not sure how I left Mallett off.

I like Jake Locker even though the team he is playing on may prevent him from winning.

There's a nice article on the Sports Illustrated website right now about Jake Locker. Sounds like his Washington Huskies team is kind of on the fast track back to national relevance. That coupled with the fact that they're recruiting well and have the second coming of Joe Montana on their roster means they could be a fun team to watch this season and in the near future.

I don't see any reason why Terrelle Pryor can't win it. He will most likely lead tOSU to another Rose Bowl. That's got to help his chances.

    Re: Heisman 2010?

If Suh couldn't win it after last year, then no strictly defensive player will win it (which is stupid- that's half the game).

Just because he might be the best player and the most deserving, does not mean he will win it. Remember, this is a fashion show.

ARob, not kidding, you heard it here first he will lead the nation in rushing and ISU will be 9-3.

As much as I love A-Rob I do not see this happening.

If he leads the nation in rushing and we are 9-3 he would not sniff an invite to New York unless he topped 2,000 yards.
