Dienhart ranks Chizik 66th out of 66 for BCS coaches

    http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn...c.php?t=200861

I commented about it in my blog, but he's really holding a grudge or something. There's some messed up stuff. Ferentz ahead of Urban Meyer? Mangino's fatass at 35th? Schiano 33rd? Harbaugh 61st?

Re: Dienhart ranks Chizik 66th out of 66 for BCS coaches

Here is what he had to say about our last placed coach in on the Big 12 conference page...

    12. Gene Chizik, Iowa State. Yeah, the Cyclones are gambling on Chizik, but it's a gamble worth taking. He has the background and pedigree that point toward success. But building good defenses at Auburn and Texas is much easier than building a good program at Iowa State, which is one of the most difficult BCS jobs. Is Chizik equipped to work in less-than-ideal circumstances?

Apparently, because he thinks he can't win here, then he's a horrible coach.

I dont agree with his list at all, Farentz that far up are you kidding he did all he could do to scrap the season together last year and i think this year will be even harder for our little brother to see w's. But thats just my opinion.

Well, don't forget all Duke's head coach has done for them.

Re: Dienhart ranks Chizik 66th out of 66 for BCS coaches

Everybody in the nation seems to have a serious crush or man-crush on Ferentz. Yeah, he's pretty good, but not #11.... I'd rank him for like 20-25th. If he was that good, he would not have had a 6-7 season last year....

As far as Chizik being... gulp... 66th, he's never head coached a game here yet and he is too unknown. But I'm sure he has something against him anyways.

Re: Dienhart ranks Chizik 66th out of 66 for BCS coaches

Gary Pinkel and Mark Mangino ahead of Chizik??? I hope thats because Chizik has yet to coach a game. As soon as the Kent State game is over Chizik shoud immediately jump these two if not a few more.

Gary Pinkel and Mark Mangino couldn't coach their way out of a paper bag.

Edit: Doesn't Dienhart have a grudge against ISU becuase he thought Brian Kelly was going be the head coach? He must love kelly because he is #36.

God I was hoping I didn't have to see Dienhart's molest-ache again...at least the article was good for a laugh.

And about Brian Kelly...apparently he is the next coming of Jesus himself (at least according to Tommy).

Talking Re: Dienhart ranks Chizik 66th out of 66 for BCS coaches

There are some real head-scratchers in there; I especially like some of the "groupings"...

#31) Phillip Fulmer of Tennessee won a National Championship and is a consistent winner in THE power conference.
#32) Joe Tiller - Purdue - Uhm, Ok?

    #41) Les Miles - LSU - I guess he gets down-graded because they're Saban's recruits?
#42) Charlie Weis - ND - I hate ND, but the guy's a great coach!
    #43) Gary Pinkel - Mizzou - What?

Re: Dienhart ranks Chizik 66th out of 66 for BCS coaches

Urban Meyer (who by the way, just coached his team to the national championship) is 12th.

Butch Davis (who hasn't coached a game at UNC) is 19th.

Jim Leavitt of South Florida is 24th on the list with these records:
    2003 - 7-4
    2004 - 4-7
    2005 - 6-6
    2006 - 9-4

Bobby Johnson of Vanderbilt is actually #29 without ever coaching a single Division 1A game...same as Chizik.

And I could go on and on.

No wonder people only read The Sporting News for baseball.

Where would Coach Mac have been? Just throwing that out there, this guy is a goofball, I should have been a sportswriter.
