Disheartening. I sure hope that changes over the next decade.

Yea for some reason the end of October is bad for ISU attendance. It's pretty much a guarantee that the first 6 games will be around 50k though. I wonder if Pollard has anything up his sleeve to get the last 6 games attendance up.

I would say that weather plays a big role in addition to our "not so great" performance.

    1. Move the statium south?

    2. Have everyone help out with harvest.

But Michigan, a cold-weather state, hasn't had less than 100,000 in decades. Bahhhh

Harvest has a lot to do with that, along with the cold weather.

How many of those are season tickets?

Also, michigan , for most of that period, hasnt been too terribly awful..
Also, population of Michigan: just under 10 million. Population of Iowa? 3 million. (both states have 2 major schools, so its a fair comparison)

Re: 2005-2009 Jack Trice Weekly Averages

Also consider who we're playing those weeks as well. Opening game some no-name team, then next couple weeks include UNI and Iowa which boosts attendance with other instate fans as well. Then you have Nebraska and top rated south teams followed with lower rated north teams at end of the season.

What percentage of our fanbase farms/is involved with farming and busy late in the year? No one will actually know this, I'm just curious to see what you guys think. I think this plays a bigger role than most think.
