    Pollard interview on Marty's show

Good interview. Thanks to Matt's behavior yesterday, I flipped over to 1700 and Marty was talking to Pollard. Good interview, and Marty handled it very well; he asked some tough questions, but was respectful and Pollard had some good things to say. I'm probably hooked on Marty's show now. Maybe Perault should download a podcast of this interview and take some notes.

Re: Pollard interview on Marty's show

Marty drives me insane. He's like an abusive, crazy uncle. He's clearly fallen down, professionally, in this market, quite spectacularly, twice. With that caveat, he also is a pro at making a show work when he doesn't hit the self-destruct button.

Even his weakest, out on a limb opinions and "insider knowledge" have enough real meat to them that they irritate his listeners the "right way." He can give great straight-up, opinionated interviews without getting personal. He has talent, damn him.

I'm sure he'll blow up his career again at some point, and hopefully not the careers of others around him, but until then, he's got my ears.

    Marty Tirell?

ďI told you, I donít care if youíre black or white. I donít care if youíre rich or poor. I donít care where you come from, whether itís Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I donít care about any of thatÖ But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads

Thought it was a good interview - Marty went after Jamie a few times and Jamie came right back at him.

Pollard is a class act and wants the Clone Nation to be in the know.

Fact is, Matt's behavior yesterday caused people to check out Marty's show today. Those that did were treated to a pretty good interview with JP. I'm glad I did. It was Matt's own doing, no getting around that.
