Do you guys see how the big 12 North is pretty much all last. Wonder if weather in the north versus the south affects recruiting in Golf?

Recruting and possibly the ability to play and practice year round.

I would say recruiting is a big factor. 95 percent of the good players down south won't consider going to a northern school for the simple fact they can't play year round. I give coach Horton props though, he does a nice job recruiting the midwest. That car accident a few years back hurt as well. Tyler Swanson was really hitting his stride and hasn't been a starter since.

Never mind what it did to their respective golf games, Tyler and Curtis were both lucky to be alive after that accident. I'm just glad they're still on this planet.

Me too, but Swanson had pro potential and that's too bad he never got to act on that.

If the NCAA was truly concerned about giving all schools (both north and soutth) a fair shot at sports like golf, baseball, softball, etc. they would move these seasons to the summer/fall.
