    big man recruit!?!

Kevin Noreen is now considering Iowa State according to ESPN.. guy looks like he could be a HUGE get
Kevin Noreen - College Basketball Recruiting 2010 - ESPN

looks like GMAC was watching him on Tuesday..

(sorry if this is old but i didnt see anything on him when i did a search...

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Rivals has him at a heafty 217. You can always bulk up a tall guy but can't stretch a short fella.

We already have a big skinny kid committed

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

Since this staff is going to be around for awhile I would rather take a shot at this big then a juco. 6-10 217 sounds good to me.

    Re: big man recruit!?!

I agree. If we want to have a TEAM that doesn't turn over every two years (hopefully that will end) we need to go after the high school kids and less JUCOs. Like I said, you can always add pounds of muscle.

    Re: big man recruit!?!

Reilly, Godfrey, and possibly McKnight... added to Noreen... this would be a killer team. Bring in one or both of the Grayers and I would be more than happy with our chances of a winning season next year. Go Mac and Staff....

Mac and Iowa State need to win NOW, not 2-3 years from now which is where JUCO comes in. It is do or die time for this program and coaching regime.

    Re: big man recruit!?!

I like the fact we are getting some big men but until we get some higher quality PG play we will not succeed. The most successful teams we had always had a back court duo (sometimes trio) to keep the defense honest. I hope DG and SC can be those guys and maybe someone can come off the bench and help out also.

I want this kid. If you score 35 ppg in high school, then you know how to score regardless of what class you are in. Jon Diebler, Keaton Page...

    Re: big man recruit!?!

Unofficially visited Northwestern and Marquette this weekend.

His HS numbers are unreal! Something like 38 points, 16 rebounds 6 assists, 4 blocks, 3 steals per game.
