    Templeton Rye: Green label

So, TR does have a special reserve that they hand out to family & friends throughout the year. I know this because I tried some a few hours ago.

Think T-Rye, only older, smoother, and tastier.

On a similar note, Crown Royal just came out with a "Black" label.

There is a difference in taste with green label. It's smoother because it has aged more. TR in the store is good. Greener is better....

Not on the market. They made it for their own pleasure. However, with the low supply of TR, it is possible that when supply is up again, this "green label" could have its own rotation of casks in say 4-6 years.

This solidifies my reasoning that although I'm not a heavy drinker, I always try to find the rarest, tastiest spirits. In turn, the good fortune I spread on my guests comes back around when they have a find to share.
