    Crappy shifts

Anyone else here work a crappy shift? I work 4pm to 6am Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. I am hating life right now since I am going to miss the spring game tomorrow. Who else is in my boat?

    Re: Crappy shifts

I worked third shift for about three years right out of college and loved it. No way was I getting on days right away and second shift is a complete social life killer. I had my weeks of not being able to sleep and then not being able to stay awake at work but I think everyone who works 3rd gets those at times. I didnt usually require much sleep so I'd always be up from 6pm Thursday night until 2-3am Saturday after going out Friday night....almost a three day weekend every week if you can stay up or survive off a small nap Friday morning. 3rd shift is great in the winter too when there isnt much to do outside and it always seems dark and gloomy.....summer is a different story though.

That sounds good besides the fact my wife/kid/friends have Saturday and Sunday off.

    Re: Crappy shifts

I used to work 7pm to 4am sunday-thursday. It feels like you are among the dead. You have to get beer the night before cause nothing is open till six, and you feel like a real lush when your in the bar at 7 every morning!
