    Yahoo mail VS. Gmail

Hello fellow fanatics! I am done with MSN Hot mail...too problematic and poor CSR help.

Considering Gmail or Yahoo mail. I don't know the advantages or disadvantages of each or which one is better.

    Any thoughts appreciated!

    Re: Yahoo mail VS. Gmail

I personally prefer my Gmail account - I don't even remember the last time I used my Yahoo! account. I just like all of the services that can tie in with Google and can work together. I know Yahoo! has a very similar range of products, but I just prefer the Google line. My Gmail is really well integrated with my Blackberry, too (I'm sure Yahoo works the same way, but I haven't tried it).

    Re: Yahoo mail VS. Gmail

I have both, and rarely use Yahoo if that tells you anything. Gmail's interaction, so to speak, between it's email and it's voice function is much easier than Yahoo Mails is with it's Messenger.......if that is a function you will use much.

    Re: Yahoo mail VS. Gmail

Still using my free aol account - at this point it'd be too difficult to send everyone my new e-mail address (or I'm too lazy).

That and it does everything I need it to do.

    Re: Yahoo mail VS. Gmail

Man, I dont' understand the Gmail love.

I had to change after getting hacked (ex-girl friend) and really miss the Front Page of My Yahoo. i-Google is inferior

Ever try updating your contacts address in gmail; it takes a minute just to find the edit and save keys which are in fine print, off to the upper corner.

Also it's annoying to get the entire thread of emails in stacked form. when responding on the same subject.

Gmail does a good job of spam filtering and the search function is handy, but the look and i-Google is inferior to Yahoo

gmail easily. It is much more stripped down kind of like Google Chrome, which I prefer.

    Gmail's spam filter is awesome.

you can have both, you know.

    "...and poor CSR help."

I'm surprised you would expect ANY such help. We're you born in the 40's?

    Re: Yahoo mail VS. Gmail

Open a Gmail account and use Thunderbird for your email client.

Open a yahoo account for just your junk email. Any place that asks you to sign up giving your email address and you think they will send you crap, use that email address.
