    Why get rid of GM?

I guess at this point I don't understand the fire GMAC thing. Every other thread is about this. Who would we hire? We are much better off waiting until next year. I don't know of any good gets still available. Sure, we could fire him but then we would end up w/ a bad coach that nobody wants and we would have to fire in 4 years. I would assume this is JP plan as well. So stfu about it and wait until next year and commence ******** then. Its football season.

LOL, you mean we don't have this right now?

I mean, when the only reason you can think of to keep a coach is because there is no one else available you know you've really hit rock bottom. I'm laughing as I write this because our program has reached such an absurb depth now.

Wow, I see your point. I really didn't understand the same thing that was said in all the other 1000 post. Thanks for adding clarity.

Bring in Johnny Orr to coach one more season. I'd love to hear a few more of his zingers.

Also, there have been many good coaches who were hired in late April. Travis Ford at Oklahoma State wasn't hired until 4/17/2008. I've posted examples of other late hirings in other threads.

The apathy surrounding this program right now is really depressing.

Re: Why get rid of GM?

We still have assistant coaches jumping ship for better jobs, who is to say we couldn't hire one away from another school? Money talks, and the ISU head coach job would be a big step up to a power conference assistant or a mid-major head coach.

Who could do a worse job? Every year we spend with McDermott at the helm is another wasted year, and another step towards being completley irrelevant.

Well um yeah...but that's not the point. You don't hire a guy now just because he can't do any worse than the next guy. They could hire me right now, and I may have a better season than Mac would next year, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have waited and found a better coach next spring. You don't just get a coach to get a coach.

My username is actually in reference to the "Magic Hour" hosted by Magic Johnson. I want it back. It has nothing to do w/ ISU. ok?

May I turn this around and ask, why should he stay?
