    If you are GMac

and if Colvin is leaving for sure, do you try to talk DB into staying now that there will be more playing time available?

If I am GM may main concern is having a full roster, any. way. possible.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

If he is still on campus (which I assume he is) you might as well try. Unless PT isnt the reason he is leaving.

I always thought Dominique was impressive when he was in the game, but never got enough PT for whatever reason. Since he actually hit his open threes, he would open the lane for our inexperienced bigs next year.

I sure hope there's some way he stays, but I doubt Buckley has any interest in staying... Judging by the other player issues, I'm guessing PT was the main problem, but not the only one he had with the staff.

    Re: If you are GMac

I'm sure Buckley realized that a few guys might head for the exits so someone like Colvin leaving likely isn't a huge surprise. He probably wanted a fresh start but I'd definitely talk to him just to make sure. It can't hurt anything.

Maybe you can go talk to Hamilton and convince him to stay as well, since Ames is closer to Utah than Baton Rouge.

    Re: If you are GMac

There would have to be open playing time for Buckley now, but I'm sure that bridge is burned now.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

He could hit some threes when given the chance, but he was a disaster handling the ball most of the time. I cringed and then cursed the tv everytime he had the ball it seemed.

    Re: If you are GMac

I guarantee you anyone who has decided to leave hasn't been going to class. I think they only have to take like six hours during the season which is easily made up over the course of their upcoming redshirt/transfer year.

To answer your initial question, though, if I am GMac I walk into Pollard's office tomorrow with what's left of my dignity, ask for a million bucks and spend the rest of my life on beach somewhere. But I'm not GMac, so...

And that's different than our starting pg how?

    Re: If you are GMac

Buckley, having 2 years in our system, would definitely be a better option than anyone we could recruit at the position right now...it would be worth a shot.

    Re: If you are GMac

GMac should probably cut DG too, just to make sure Buckley has a clear road.

    DG is GMac's new Rahshon.

I hope not. I can understand Gilstrap and Brackins dropping out, but the transfer kids can't afford to bag an entire semester if they want to go to another D1 school.

That would be a nightmare scenario since it would certainly inflame our APR situation which would cause our hole to get deeper to also get hit with more sanctions.
