    If we do...

If we do decide to fire greg I think we need to find a basketball coach like rhoads. I think it would be a bad idea to hire a big name assistant. I may be wrong but to win at ISU you need a coach who truly wants to be here and a coach that knows what it takes to win here. Not just someone who will be using us as a stepping stone. Look at the success that chiz had and then look at CPR.

Sounds like Greg McDermott about 5 years ago....

We need an established major conference coach if we can get it. (which we probably can't)

We don't need another football coach. Football is nothing like basketball.

I'm not necessarily opposed to hiring another up and coming mid-major coach, if its the right fit. Every coaching hire is a gamble, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

We need to find someone that understands today's players and how the game has changed. I keep hearing about how McDermott runs all these set plays, not many coaches do this anymore. I also want someone that can relate to the players, Coach K, Roy Williams, Bill Self, and Jim Boeheim all have this knack even at their older years.

    Re: If we do...

I just want someone who shows some sort of emotion whether it be joy, like a Buzz Williams, or bad-assedness, like a Bruce Pearl. SHOW ME SOOOOMMMETHING. Because right now it doesn't even look like our coach cares.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Nah, I don't feel he has any major role on that team.

    Re: If we do...

Our coaches werent good because they took off their blazers at the 1st sign of trouble and acted PO'd... I know it excited a few fans, but realistically it meant nothing. The reason they were good was because they had talent to rely on. Floyd and LE got very lucky with some of our jucos, but a lot of their jucos were not good as well.
