    Beautiful Day Beer Thread

What a wonderful day outside! I cant wait to get home and crack one open and enjoy out on my deck!!! I brought home some New Glarus brew last weekend: Spotted Cow, Crack'd Wheat, Stone Soup, Fat Squirrel, and one of their IPA's. Haven't gotten a chance to try their Crack'd Wheat yet, but its rated pretty high on a few beer rating sites. I wanted to try their Raspberry Tart which is rated the highest in its category on a few sites, but couldnt find it.

What are you drinkin today? Bottles up!

ps. anyone watch Three Sheets? Who wouldnt kill for that job?

Oh man Spotted Cow is great stuff! I get my friend to bring me back some when he comes down from Wisconsin. I plan on enjoying a few Widmer Hefeweizens and do some grilling when I get home tonight.

    Re: Beautiful Day Beer Thread

Leinie Summer Shandy is my favorite summer beer. Going to have a couple with my ribeye and twice baked potato tonight. Three Sheets is an awesome show, only reason I go over to my lady's place since I don't get FLN on Dish!

Also, thought this would be good with this thread. It's this years results for the World Beer Cup. Thank God Miller Lite didn't win anything again so they don't try to pretend their beer is any good. A couple of local breweries got some recognition.

Summer Shandy is an excellent choice as well, personally I prefer most beers over Miller Lite. I too enjoy a Corona now and again during the summer.

I've been a big fan of the Bell's 2 Hearted lately. Delicious, but it's not easy on the wallet. If I get the grill going tonight, I'll probably steal one of the O'Dell's Wheat my gf has stored in the fridge. Tasty stuff.

Also, I'm heading to Boulder at the end of May for a relative's graduation party. If anyone has suggestions of Colorado beers I would be able to find while I'm there, let me know!

Summer Shandy guy myself. The mixture of yardwork, warm weather, lemonade and beer just seems to work together!

If you like that, try New Belgium Mothership Wit or Pyramid Haywire.

    Re: Beautiful Day Beer Thread

Was on the bike and rode to Slater Sunday afternoon. Stopped at the local tavern and had a Hop Hound. I liked it a lot, might have to check it out.

Also if you ever get a chance to go to New Glarus brewery, there isn't a whole lot to see but the owners are super nice. They also gave us some tickets for a free beer at a bar in the town. The downtown area was pretty awesome, lots of old school Amana type stores.

Man reading these posts makes me wish we could get either New Glarus or Odell's in Iowa
