    Pacman newspaper ad...

FOX Sports - NFL - 'Pacman' addresses fans in full-page ad

I put the over/under at 6 months before he has a run-in with West Virginia University police.

    Re: Pacman newspaper ad...

i think this was a smart move on his part, but if he does get in trouble again.. u can say good bye to football for pac man jones, i really hope he does clean up his act, he has alot of talent, and i am slowly starting to like the titans again

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Oh look, another athlete that uses his money to try to get respect/trust back from fans.

Ya wanna win people over, Pacman? Go do some community service or donate your time where people could really use it. Get your hands dirty and actually enjoy giving back. Then, keep yourself out of trouble.

Amen! But, doing what you describe would require a shred of character, which Pacman Jones does not have. So, he and his agent or some PR firm that he hired came up with this fiasco.

    Re: Pacman newspaper ad...

You can take someone out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of them. At least it seems that way with Pacman Jones. You'd think 10 run-ins with the law in 2 years would be enough to open your eyes and realize you are about to lose millions of dollars if you don't stop it. I saw some ESPN thing awhile back that I think his mom and some other family friends and such were interviewed and they said his problem is he has a bad group of childhood friends that he just can't say no to for some reason which is causing him to hang with the wrong crowd. Hopefully a year off from football will allow him time to ditch these friends and find a better way of life but then again now that football is taken away from him it just gives him more free time to find trouble too...

Ha! He chomped a cop. I wonder if he thought the cop was a "Power Pellet."

    Re: Pacman newspaper ad...

This was anything but a bad move. Public perception is key. He's never going to be the kind of guy who's going to lead the boy scouts, but everyone knows that apologizing is the first step in the world of sports when someone makes a mistake. If he stays out of trouble and makes the Pro Bowl in the 2008 season, all will be well for him.
