He will have to at this point unless we pull about five rabbits out of the hat this week.

He'll lose a lot of Football season ticket holders if he does. I live out of state and can take time to make 6 home games a year on weekends. There is no way that I could make enough b-ball games to justify the additional season tickets and would not buy either. Winter traffic and weeknight games being the biggest reasons.

At most we can sell 13k season tickets for basketball, right? Thats including students and assuming every tickets in Hilton goes to a season ticket holder.

So to be able to qualify for football tickets, you have to buy basketball tickets. What your saying is that you want ISU to only sell, at most, 13k season football tickets?

Seriously, some of you need to think before you post...

No. But I can see him putting in a promotion like Get mens basketball tickets for 50% if you buy fb season tickets.

Chuck, if you are feeling extra tension today, maybe you should talk to someone about it.

You could however require it for those at the upper levels of donation\higher quality seats like between the 40s.

Not that doing that is a good idea, as i dont think you'd want to risk ******* off donors right now..

Hey, we should also make B-ball ticket holders buy Olympic Sport season tickets. Then we would be swimming in the money (no pun intended...really).

Re: Will JP implement "You have to buy Mens Bball season tix to qualify for Fball tix

Don't they have some sort of point system right now that determines your seating priority? I was thinking it took into account your donation level as well as how many seats you have for each sport and how many years you have held them. In a way, this would already reward you for purchasing bball ticketes by bumping up your seats in other sports, without actually making it a hard requirement.

That said, this wouldn't be without precident. I believe KU requires one to buy football season tics in order to buy bball. Of course it just naturally works better that direction than the other way around due to the size of the venues, and in the case of KU, the demand of each sport.

Re: Will JP implement "You have to buy Mens Bball season tix to qualify for Fball tix

Why not raise football ticket prices and give away the bball tickets for the kids in the family. If you buy a women's bball ticket, you get free men's tickets. If you buy a 2010-11 package, you get a 2015-16 package at half price when realmbball returns.
Sell mini package bball packages that come with free food like walking tacos.

JP can get innovative like very other salesman.

I think to sell any tickets for bball next year they will have to come up with ridiculous promotions. Buy a season ticket and you receive free season tickets to wrestling, volleyball, gymnastics, soccer, women's bball, etc....

They may have to get George White involved with offering of free services or possibly free cars. Sadly that may not be enough.

If you win the lottery for the week, you get to sit on the bench and maybe play in the game.
