    A-Rob for heisman?

I believe that Alexander Robinson has a legitimant shot at winninh the Heisman trophy this year. One of the reasons that I believe this is whenever Shonn Green made his run at the trophy he ran for 100 yards every game and he finished in what fourth behind the quarterback trio of Bradford, McCoy and Tebow.
I figure that A-Rob probably could have accomplished the 100 yards every game feat last season if we would have stayed healthy. Plus I can't really think of any top notch heisman contenders other than Ingram from Alabama.
I realize that this is a stretch but if he can stay healthy this year I'd say he has a good shot with an extra year of experience under his belt.
What is everybody's thought on this... wishful thinking or legitimant chance?

Who else is a possible contender for the Heisman?

We better win 10-11 games then for him to win....

very wishful thinking, we would pretty much need to win 10 games and more than likely go undefeated for him to have a shot.

Wishful thinking. If TD didn't win it, then I doubt ARob could.
The Ames market is exactly media-hype ville either.

    Re: A-Rob for heisman?

We have seen what chances a really good RB has of winning it when his team isn't very good. Sure we will be better than Troy's teams but I doubt we finish much better than 6-6 and in todays world that isn't good enough for a player to win

    Re: A-Rob for heisman?

If A-Rob repeats what he did last year, and throws 150-200 yard performances AND wins against Texas and Oklahoma, then he'll probably get a mention or 2.

No way. I wish but no way. Troy Davis had back to back 2000 yard seasons and he lost it. If Arob played for Notre Dame or Florida he would have a chance.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I guess this can also open the debate on who's going to be a contender other than Ingram.

If he rushes for 2800 yards and scores 30 TDs, he might make it.

This is far-fetched but I can honestly see where you are coming from. Sometimes there are one or two candidates that come from no where and were unheard of coming into the season (Shonn Green, Seneca, Banks). There is no reason A-rob couldn't be a candidate that comes out of no where! Like the OP said, if A-rob starts every game, stays healthy and average over 100 yds/game there is no reason he could sneak up into the race. I think we can all agree that a healthy A-rob is worth 100 yds per game right?

    Terrelle Pryor.

My dark horse will be the QB from A&M.

getting 100 yards per game is going to be really tough with the schedule we have but if he can do it........

A-Rob reminds me of a guy named Robert Smith. If he can stay healthy this year, he should earn some national press. Heisman? Highly doubtful. But nothing is impossible.

Tebow. He's being granted his 5th year of eligibility.
