He, that we do not speak of...(WJ)

Is there a funny line in here to anyone else?

Syracuse's Wesley Johnson declares for NBA draft | syracuse.com

    Just curious.

EDIT: For those that can't or don't want to click on the link, here is the excerpt I was referring to:

Syracuse University junior Wesley Johnson will enter his name into the NBA draft, his older brother said today.
"It's a bittersweet moment for him,'' Craig Carroll, Johnson's brother, said. "He thoroughly enjoyed Syracuse. He loves it there. At the same time, he knows this is something he has to do.''

I see WJ is still in the process of self realization.

Why do so many have a problem with his brother having concern with his career? I really don't get that...he is family after all.

Do you have the same problem when GM's relatives come on this site to try and spin what is going on in our program?

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

I think what he is getting at is that WJ brother is the reason he left ISU, he is obviously still pulling some strings with his brother, I am sure that little brother will be a big payday for big brother.

I don't have a problem with his brother having concern with his career. I really don't have a problem with anything regarding Wes. I just think it's weird that a grown man always has his brother speaking for him.

Greg obviously can't come onto this board and defend himself. However, WJ is more than capable of making a public statement like this on his own.

We really need to stop banging on WJ folks. He did what was best for his future and that was to get as far away from McD as possible before he ruined him forever. WJ just figured it out a couple of years before the rest of us did... and I guarantee you Brackins wishes he would have figured it out a year sooner.

I didn't say anything about Wes making a mistake by leaving, that would be a very difficult case to make. But when you were/are 22 years old do you think you'll be able to speak for yourself? This isn't a one time occurance.

Yeah... his brother seems to be more like an agent. Something I don't think is necessary for college level guys. Now that he's going pro... sure. But every quote from his brother makes it sound like his brother made all of the decisions. And by that I mean Wes appears to be the type that listens to what his brother says and is not very likely to question it. His brother holds just a little too much influence in my opinion.

Though I agree it's probably the right thing for him to do, and going to Syracuse was obviously beneficial for Wes... I just would like to be my own man and not have my brother speaking for me to the media all of the time.

His brother seems to be living his dreams through Wes.

His brother seems to be making quality decisions for him IMO. Hopefully that continues once Wes gets more money.
