    Antwon Oliver

Who feels bad for this kid. Wasting a red-shirt last year, which at the time of the decision probably seemed like a good idea. Now if he wants to transfer and get out of this mess, he will have to blow a year of eligibility...

I totally agree. He has a great opportunity to play significant minutes as a RS freshman!

He could transfer to a juco and play next year, then transfer to a D1 school for his final three seasons. He would not have to sit out.

Who feels bad for the athletic training staff knowing they are taping the ankles of losers. Who feels bad for the admin staff in the basketball office knowing they are wasting time answering phones for losers. Who feels bad for the janitorial staff at the new practice facility knowing they are restocking the booty paper used to wipe by losers.

Who feels bad for losers who continually post ignorant thoughts casting THEIR fears and insecurities upon kids playing basketball with their friends in front of thousands and thousands of FANS every game.

Except if he played last year he would have played competitively for a season, and if he decided to transfer, he would than be able to redshirt and still have 3 season of eligibility left, giving him 4 years of playing.

Now if he wants to transfer, he loses a year and will only be able to play for three.

Wow, I bet you feel better about yourself now.

All I am saying is there seems to be a pattern, especially this off-season, of kids wanting to get out of the program and move to a place where they feel more comfortable. I don't think it is even possible at this point to refute that.

Lets compare Colvin and Oliver. A guy like Colvin, if he transfers, he has to sit out a year, which he can use a redshirt for. He can still play for 4 years. Oliver does not have that opportunity. If he transfers to another DI school, he will lose a year of eligibility and only be allowed to play three years. The decision to transfer, based on those facts, will be much more difficult for Oliver than it will be for Colvin. I feel bad that Oliver wasted his redshirt for a season who most, myself included, had pretty high hopes for.

He only "wasted" his redshirt season if he wanted to transfer.

Chris Williams, I think a majority of this board would be all for an update to the site where we can break up the "Men's Basketball" forum into "Men's basketball" and "**** we can't change or unverified rumors we'd like to ***** and moan about for no productive reason" for the 10 people on here to post in who have nothing better to do with their time. Make it happen

Its not tough for me to understand that he has 4 years to play at ISU, if he wants that.

Let me ask you this, based off everything that has happened in the past 4 months, how can you even come close to thinking he wants to be here for 4 years?

    Re: Antwon Oliver

Chuck - my point is that Antwon Oliver had few Division I opportunities coming out of high school, while Chris Colvin had many. So, Oliver will have a great opportunity to play and get better earlier than expected, regardless if he is on a losing team.

Thanks for being the first to make a logical argument over what I posted. I'll be honest, I don't follow recruiting what so ever, so I have no ideas what kind of offers he had coming out of HS.

Well if the staff is replaced after this year like everyone seems to think will happen then he will still have 3yrs to play under a "great" new staff. This would be the same 3yrs to play if he transferred so moot point.

Antwon is at ISU and I hope he stays regardless of what happens with GMac.
