    Weird internet problems

For some reason, internet explorer has been working fine, but whenever I try Firefox or Google Chrome, I lose internet connection after a couple minutes and I have to unplug my box. Any ideas why that might be happening?

    Re: Weird internet problems

I was having weird problems a while back and a new modem fixed the problem. If I would just surf with one computer it would work ok. But if my wife was on her laptop or work computer and I was on mine it would crash my modem. Or if I would go to a site that had a lot going on it would crash it.

I guess that could be it. My modem is about 6 years old, and the technician that came out from Qwest said it was kind of a dinosaur as modems go. Perhaps it is time to get a new one.

If IE is working you could try importing your settings from IE into Firefox and Chrome. I don't know how it happened but once my Firefox connection settings got screwed up but I reimported my settings from IE and it worked.
