    Update on Jordan Railey

Doesn't mean all that much, but just thought I would let the board know that Jordan was not selected for any of the Class 6A All-State teams in Oregon. It is kind of surprising. He ranked fairly well in some of the statistical categories, but others got selected ahead of him. His team did not have all that great a year, so that may have had something to do with it.

or the fact that he was sick might have something to do with it....didn't he spend time in the hospital?

Not sure where that came from......he played in 21 of his teams' 27 games. He did miss a few.......but not much.

There were quite a few good players in the state this year. Jordan's teammate, DeAngelo Davis, was like the 3rd leading scorer in class 6A and he was only honorable mention, so......just some stiff competition I guess. Plus, there are only 2 teams of 5 selected, plus 6 players received honorable mention.

I really thought he would make one of the teams. He was the top shot blocker in his class, and one of the leading re-bounders.

Did his team make state? Seems the usual thing is only kids on state qualifying teams garner too many awards.

His team made the playoffs. About half of the teams in 6A make the playoffs.......there are like 45 teams in 6A. His team got beat in the 2nd round. I believe they finished ranked like 18th in the state for their class.

He did miss a few games this year, but played in 21 of 27 games.

There was some pretty good talent in 6A this year, and they only selected 16 players for the 3 all-state teams.

Here is a short video of Jordan from this year. I'm not sure if it was posted before or not. He is #00.

Fire Pollard, why would he hire a guy who would recruit a guy like this, Johnny Orr wouldn't let this guy be his caddy
