    Re: Sims

His height is going to hurt him at the next level, but I think he has a future as a pro.

    Re: Sims

i thought he was only 5'8-5'9? Thats quite small for an NFL safety. I do however think he has the speed and could have a shot.

    Re: Sims

I've liked Sims since watching highlights when I found out we stole him from OU. Fast enough to be a returner, but hits hard. Coverage skills could be better. He needs a system where he is free to roam and ball hawk.. a place like Indy in the Bob Sanders role (since we all know he plays about 2 games/yr) would fit him well.

    Re: Sims

He will be a pro. I don't think it is a question. IMO he should receive preseason honors this year. I think he will, and I think he will receive post season honors as well.

It's all snark from here on out

    Re: Sims

Zero doubt in my mind he will get drafted. He hits like a truck. If nothing else he could light some guys up on kick/punt coverage. I see him as a solid #2 safety in the NFL. I'm thinking he will explode on the BigXII scene this year and really turn some heads going into next April.
(Is it way too early to say all this???)

This is what would be really nice to see (obviously, right?).

Bob Sanders with better coverage skills. I think Sims compares favorably to Sanders at this point in his cqareer. Sanders was always a great tackler and leader, but ISU went deep on him quite a bit.
