    WNBA Draft is tomorrow

@ 2 PM CT. Let's hope the best for Aus - I am sure she'll be drafted but the most important for me is she can make the team.
From his Twitter, BF already landed in NYC this morning accompanying Aus attending the draft.

    Re: WNBA Draft is tomorrow

The WNBA shortened it's rosters by 2 spots this season and contracted 1 team so supposedly making a team this season is going to be a lot tougher since there are lot less spots open this year.

    Re: WNBA Draft is tomorrow

She got invited to the draft so people must expect her to go pretty high.

It is weird that they do it 2 days after the season ends

WNBA season is in summer, so they have to get the ball rolling quickly. Training camp starts in late April.

    Re: WNBA Draft is tomorrow

I honestly did not know that the WNBA had a draft.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Nope. We've had them up on CyBookie before and had discussions about it.

    Re: WNBA Draft is tomorrow

As previously stated she is one of 15 to actually be invited to the draft so I'm sure she will go pretty high.

Any Big XII players likely to be drafted? Kelsey Griffin, maybe?

    Re: WNBA Draft is tomorrow

Other Big 12 players invited, from the story on cyclones.com, include Kelsey Griffin (Nebraska), Andrea Riley (Oklahoma State), Amanda Thompson (Oklahoma) and Danielle McCray (Kansas).

Danielle had an ACL injury this year so she won't be able to play this year for whatever team may draft her.

    Re: WNBA Draft is tomorrow

NEW YORK -- In the last eight days, Tina Charles earned an All-America selection, was voted the Associated Press' women's player of the year and helped the Connecticut Huskies complete a second straight undefeated season for their seventh national championship.
On Thursday, Charles is the favorite to be selected No. 1 overall by the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA draft. The Minnesota Lynx will have second and third picks.
"Tina is WNBA-ready," Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve said in a conference call. "Her game is so suited for our level, whether its her ability to score in post-up situations or her offensive rebounding."
After Charles, the choices aren't so predictable among a pool deep with perimeter players, including fellow All-American Monica Wright from Virginia, Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley, LSU's Allison Hightower, UConn's Kalanna Greene and former Rutgers guard Epiphanny Prince, who skipped her senior season to play in Turkey.
Forward Kelsey Griffin of No. 1 seed Nebraska helped lead her team to a 30-0 record before losing in the Big 12 Conference tournament.
"There are a lot of great players out there to choose from, who will do well in the WNBA and have the potential to have long and outstanding careers," said new Los Angeles Sparks coach Jennifer Gillom.
