BASKETBALL RECRUITING: Just spoke with Matt Pressey

I just got off the phone with Navarro J.C. shooting guard Matt Pressey.

He holds offers from Iowa State, Missouri, Texas A&M and Nebraska.

He does plan on visiting Iowa State but doesn't have one set yet. He's set to go to Missouri this weekend. He has a brother who is signed with Missouri and has connections to Mike Anderson so that will be a serious hurdle for Iowa State.

He loves the Cyclone program because "they have a need for me." Sounds like he wants to be one of "the men" wherever he goes and Ames might be that place. I'll have a full report up for you all shortly.

Hopefully he wants to play against his brother for some friendly competition rather than with him.

Isn't the spring signing period next week? How's he going to visit ISU before then if he doesn't have a visit scheduled yet? He's Moo U bound.

You don't have to sign that day Stewo.

He told me that playing with his brother isn't his number one priority.

Re: BASKETBALL RECRUITING: Just spoke with Matt Pressey

I would be very leary about recruiting a guy who's brother plays on an opposing team that you are going to match up against 2 times a year. I would be worried about Matt tanking it on purpose so that his brother's team could win. A similar situation happened to me once in a racquetball league. Let's just say that a sibling of a guy that was competing with me for the top spot tried to work the system for his brother. Unfortunately for them I know how to use my racquetball racket on and OFF the court.

Come on McD, you can do better than this!

LOL I think you forgot the sarcasm pirate. Im afraid some might think you are serious.

Anytime we can sign a kid with multiple big 12 offers... we NEED to do that. We rarely have during the McD era signed a kid with Multiple big 12 offers.

I hope you're not serious. Do you really think if he came here, he would tank a game to let his brother win? I hope you just forgot this guy
