Sorry to burst your bubble... but that would have been a huge infringement on the Freedom of Speech. The professors did all that they could; turn him in to the psych people.

I read that earlier, and as I feel sorry for what happened to him (if this did), but he didn't need to take it out on 50 some people who had nothing to do with it.

That is a man with a boy's mind looking for (the right kind of) attention he never received. It's too bad he felt others had to suffer for his suffering.

I don't think it happened to him as his parents wern't divorced. Not saying he wasn't struck, but as I read the story, the blow resulted in death to the boy in the story. I think he was just sick, one of those guys who never had friends and just got into some really dangerous mindset.

I feel the press shouldn't even re-print the pyscho's names in these cases -much less his art or poetry. I don't care who he is, or what the hell he wrote about. All this does is glorify him to hundreds of punks just like him. They've managed to encourage who knows how many more pyschos, congrats.

I'll never understand why people want to read this crap and glorify this. Better to read up on how to help the victims. If they don't give the killer any press or time that would discourage any copycats. If they next turd is going to be a household name like this moron, that may be the extra push he needed towards action.

Just a question. Would his story be much of an issue if he didn't kill anybody? John Saul and Stephen King write some pretty gruesome stuff as well. Anyone remember Kill Bill vol. 1? Where the little girl sees her parents murdered, seduces the pedophile, then stabs him with a sword and showers in his blood? Granted all that's fictional, but it's just as sick and twisted as what this kid wrote.

besides everything else, he was a horrible writer. There must be something he was trying to say. What I get out of it is that if you act like and *** to somebody way bigger than you long enough, eventually they are going to get ****** and pop you. Most of us had that figured out.

Yes, hindsight is always 20/20. What would anyone say if Stephen King or Quinten Tarantino went on a shooting rampage tomorrow? "Why didn't we take their books and movies seriously?" No, odds are, people would try and make a different correlation to their freak-out that is completely different from their work(s).

It seems fairly close-minded to say that his actions stemmed from something that many people get paid thousands and millions of dollars to write in the mainstream entertainment field.

So... what if he had a really good editor, a la Stephen King? Stephen King isn't a very talented writer by any means. I wouldn't be surprised if 1/5 of his work is formatted/formulated by someone who isn't Stephen King.
