Re: 4-6 Mailbag - POST QUESTIONS HERE

There seems to be alot of debate on here about whether or not we should be recruiting JuCos as heavily as we are, or if we should be looking more towards the high school ranks. What is your opinion, and how do you see either of these outcomes effecting us in the future?

Re: 4-6 Mailbag - POST QUESTIONS HERE

Why do we close doors and windows to reduce noise, considering that sound travels better through solids?

Do you think we'll hear soon on an Assistant Coach for MBB?

And if I forget to ask for next week: what's your favorite Veishea tradition?

What's your take on all of the new Old Spice commercials? Funny, Weird, Dumb, Wrong? I personally like the "blocking" one the best, and laugh at it everytime. If you haven't seen all of them, I suggest you google them and watch'em.

Two reasons that I can think of:

    1. Not all of the sound energy is transferred through the barrier (windows and doors) - some/most of that is reflected back at the source.
    2. Some of the energy is lost/wasted in the transition between the mediums (air to barrier material, then barrier material to air).

Which is why, assuming you are the same distance from a sound source, the sound will always sound louder if you are in the same room as the source as opposed to standing in a room separated by a wall/window/door...

Why not just bank 1 or 2 of the men's basketball scholarships for next season or something? Wouldn't that be better than be better than at best finding a marginal player for next season?

After their amazing performance on opening day, are the Cubs already resorting to "wait until next year?"

Why did I think it was a good idea to draft and start Carlos Zambrano in fantasy baseball??? Your boy Heyward absolutely destroyed that pitch!!

To me it's amazing that Cubs fans don't learn from history and don't start doing that prior to opening day...

Did you ever partake in any intramurals during your time at ISU? If so, did you ever win one and what was your favorite?
