I agree with having Magitt starting opposite of Rashawn, you always let the player with experience start over the unknown until the unknown has proved his worth, which I believe Rony is more than capable of doing. I see him coming in and taking alot of playing time after the Iowa game next year. I see Iowa's o-line really making our coaches think on what we can do to make the pass rush better, and because our schedule only gets tougher from there and we need a pass rush BAD playing against these pass heavy teams...

Is Parker a lock to start? I ask because of his injury.

    And did Moore get hurt?

I will second the Maggitt with Neal probably getting time also. It is hard to not think Nelson could end up fighting the internet legend theory of Bo Williams if he is talked up too much before he shows us anything.

Parker is a lock to start. He'll be 100 percent. Moore is fine as far as I know.

I don't see how you can say Nelson is blind faith. Do we have any idea how Any of these guys are going to perform? All we have is prior experience...

I understand why so many people think Nelson will start. He was a good juco prospect and why would you bring in a Juco prospect if he didn't have the possibility of starting? Otherwise just sign a high school kid and develop him for two years. Juco players are usually expected to come in and fight for a starting spot.

Totally agree with that but how often does that actually happen? Take Chris Lyle as an example. He was a JUCO DE who was expected to come in and start...It took him a while to become a Big 12 player. I am fine with expecting Nelson to compete for a starting job. Expecting him to win the starting job is a different story. If he does win it, that's a huge bonus IMO.

True it doesn't happen often. People could also be voting for him because they didn't see any pass rush last year either from Maggitt or Neal so they are hoping that Nelson can be that pass rusher. But I totally agree he is going to have to come to fall practice and really shine in order to grab the starting spot. Like you said, that would be great if that can happen.
