    The Street Stops Here

Did anyone catch The Street Stops Here last night on PBS? Based on The Miracle of St. Anthony's, about Bob Hurley and his St. Anthony's program in Jersey City. Amazing book, amazing documentary.

Yeah I did. I had my classes today watch the trailer for it. The kids in every class said it gave them goosebumps. Was pretty incredible.

Yes, I watched it & loved it! My wife, not quite the basketball fanatic I am, was initially skeptical, but was soon engrossed in the program! Two thumbs up from our family!

Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2"

I actually turned it on a little later and missed the first 20 minutes or so, so I want to see it again so I can watch the whole thing. But it's not on PBS's schedule for the next week...grrrrr
