    Sound Off

I was listening to Sound Off with Keith Murphy and Andy Fales the other day, and they had a interesting topic. Who would win in a basketball game between Ames high boys and this undefeated UCONN women?

IMO, i think Ames would win just because they have good size and barnes, but i think it would be a great game to watch

Any high school team would beat the UConn women's team. We have been over this before and there is no way they can beat a boys high school team.

    Re: Sound Off

your dead sure about that. i think barnes would take over in that game, but do you really think Ames point guard could stop Maya Moore. That's why i think it would be a good game. That match up would be fun to watch.

    Re: Sound Off

Maya Moore wouldn't get a shot off in the lane. Ames High would just have to sit in a 3-2 zone with McDermott and Barnes down low and UConn wouldn't get a shot off inside 10 feet.

Any high school team? I highly doubt that. Lets not get carried away. They might not be able to beat some of the really good high school teams, but I'm sure they could down a lot of high school teams.

You're wrong. While Ames would kill them, there are boys teams they would beat handily. I would put my money on UCONN to beat probably every Iowa boys team with the exception of about 10-15 in this state.

It's all snark from here on out

Any? That's a stretch. There are a lot of boys high school teams who barley average 20 points per game. You're right for the most part, but there are more than enough boy's high school teams who would get destroyed by the UConn Women.

I don't know about that... Jill Martin, former Drake player from Norwalk used to be one of the two best players on the court in open gym with the boys. A team of five girls all MUCH better than her could hold their own, if not beat MANY boys teams.

    Re: Sound Off

I would say UCONN could beat some of the bad 1-A and 2-A teams. I don't think they could beat any 3-A or 4-A team.

There are some downright horrible 3A and 4A teams.

I was thinking that right after I posted that. I take it back.

    Re: Sound Off

You might be able to find a boys team somewhere the UCONN women could beat. There is such a huge gap in strength and quickness between men/boys and women. A good HS boys team would route the UCONN women.

You would rather listen to Matt and Miller than Murphy and Fales? Good lord. You lose all credibility if you would rather listen to Matt freaking Perrault.
