    Lost Cat in Ames

Ok fanatics... I know I poke fun a lot, but I have a serious problem. Also, if you are a dog person I respect that, but don't feel this is the time or the place. My cat of 6 years somehow snuck out of the house and is now missing. I've scoured the blocks around my house (I live on the corner of Storm and Ash St. (between Towers and Jack Trice)) for hours upon hours tonight looking for him to no avail. He is normally scared to death of the outdoors, so I find it odd that he got out, but he is definitely not in the house. He used to wear a collar, but itched at it so much I had to take it off. He's black and white and has a distinctive black dot on the tip of his nose.

I've often thought it was odd when people have lost a pet that they claim it is like losing a child, whelp... I can now say I know the feeling. If you hear anything about him message me at any time. I live around towers in Ames, so assuming he would stay close to home. I have called the Police Department and will have to wait to call the animal shelter until noon tomorrow when they open.

Here's a picture of the little guy:

He's a badass, which is why I know he's still alive somewhere. I can only imagine how many raccoons he's probably already killed tonight.

    Good luck.

This happened to a girfriend who lived over on S.5th.She just walked around until she found him hiding under a porch. She had to 'bait' him out with some canned cat food.
If he is scared of the outdoors....he is likely hiding somewhere.Keep searching.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

    Re: Lost Cat in Ames

Well, I stayed up until about 2 am searching around my house and within a few blocks... Woke up at 5 this morning and began the search again until I had to head to work by 8. Still no sign of the little guy.

I live right near the corner of Storm St. and Ash St. That is located between the Towers and Jack Trice Stadium. I have been searching that entire area.

Ok, thanks. I live on the west side of Ames, so I doubt he's in my neighborhood. I'll keep an eye out just in case though. Good luck!

    Re: Lost Cat in Ames

If the cat is alive, it will most likely find it's way home when it wants to come home. They are remarkable at remembering where they came from.

    Good luck.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

There are a lot of "stray cats" in Campustown, if you get my drift.

Good luck finding it, as others have said, hopefully he wasn't too drunk!

    Re: Lost Cat in Ames

I've lost mine a couple tines. One time while searching I heard meows coming from a street gutter. Sure enough hecwas down there. Lifted the grate and got him out.

The another another male went missing. I saw one in a neighbors window that looked like mine. She was a single mother of two and kind of hot. One day I pooped the lock and grabbed my cat. A few months later he had kittens - so my mistake. But was once one cat became a litter. Thanks to chance and light B & E.

In all seriousness - good luck. Talk to a few neighbors as it provides more eyes...
