    Recruit article on Eady

Nike Football Combines - ESPN RISE

    Iowa State has shown interest.

Henry Eaddy from Olympia (Orlando, Fla.) made the three-hour drive south and posted the day’s top SPARQ Rating (118.26) at the Nike Miami Combine on Saturday.
Last fall, Eaddy, a 5-foot-7, 152-pound receiver, had more than 500 total yards and five touchdowns. He is hearing from Iowa State, Middle Tennessee State, Stanford and Washington State. He plans on attending Alabama’s summer camp.
Eaddy’s score was the best of the day, but just one of 11 players who surpassed the 100-point SPARQ Rating.

Giorgio Newberry's versatility makes him stand out - ESPN

    Six Sleepers
Here are some under-the-radar players who impressed on Sunday.
Jordan Montgomery, S/LB, Groveland, Fla./South Lake: Montgomery can play linebacker or safety in college and does a lot of good natural things. Montgomery has five scholarship offers (Ole Miss, Arkansas, Maryland, Central Florida and Iowa State).
Here was another one that we were intereste in.

Good to hear our name associated with these kinds of players and camps. Even if we don't land these two you have to think it'll help with name recognition else where.

A-Town, I'm seeing a drastic change in our recruiting approach and I welcome the change. We are going after premier athletes. I only hope we actually get some of them to come.

"We embrace that challenge and what it presents to us. I’m going to approach all 12 games this way: We’re going to win them all. If we prepare and then go out and execute, we’re going to win all 12. Now how many are we going to end up with at the end of the year? I don’t know, and you’re right, I won’t put a number on it."- Paul Rhoads on having the toughest schedule in the Big 12

    Re: Recruit article on Eady

Some people wanted Atif to replace Chris Ash as the d.b. coach and this is probably the next best thing- an Iowa State connection as a head high school football coach in Florida.

I agree, if we start out something crazy like 6-1 with a huge win @ Iowa or @ Oklahoma, maybe we can make a splash. If not and these guys aren't interested, then move on to the next guy. Everyone is 0-0 right now, go for the best while everyone's on an even level.

Surprised nobody posted the part a little further down on the top link article:

"Defensive end Curt Maggitt (Palm Beach, Fla./Dwyer) was at the event sporting a pair of Iowa State sweatpants (his brother Roosevelt plays for the Cyclones). He did not participate because he is still resting an injured shoulder, but Maggitt says it is shoulder is getting stronger. He plans to make an unofficial visit to Miami in the near future and has more than a dozen offers, including Florida and Alabama."

I would be SOOOO pumped if we could land Curt!!

We wish. It is nearing April 1 and Texas probably is putting the finishing touches on their 2011 recruiting class. I believe they already have almost 20 verbal commits.

    Must be nice.
