About the only one in the Ames area that will make a house call is Best Buy Geek squad but I can tell you they are not cheap. $150 to come and assess the problem and then $35 per 15 minutes to repair it on site plus the cost of parts. I had a 6 year old JVC 36" inch tube TV that died and by the time I figured $150 plus $300 for a new picture tube plus an hour of labor ($140). I decided to buy a new 42" flat screen for about $800.
