Just got a new tailgate grill

For the upcoming season. Next purchase is a tent, not sure if it will be an ISU tent (about $200) or just a cheaper one. Just drew up plans for bags boards the other day and am making an extendable flag pole after seeing they cost a fortune.

What is on your wish-list of supplies for the upcoming season? Did anyone get something new last year and love it?

I need to get a flat screen for our rv and mounts for the outside of it. Not much else we need. We have bags, ladder golf, and everything that comes with a RV. Maybe make an extendable flag pole also. I am more of the eat, drink, visit tailgater. I'll play games but rather drink and eat. Also make the rounds to about 6 other tailgates of friends and family.

I need to get an RV! I have a plasma in the back of my SUV that we play video games/isu highlights on, kinda ghetto setup but it works!

DIRECTV: Sat-Go : Portable Satellite TV System

This is on my wishlist this year. We don't take an RV and I really don't feel like lugging a satalite dish and a tv out to the tailgate but at the same time it would be cool to watch College Gameday and other games while tailgating so I stumbled on this little booger here. Definately will be purchased by September!

I wonder if you could plug that into a larger TV screen like you do a laptop? Also, does anyone know if JACK TRICE parking lots are WIFI hot spots? If so I could do the same w/ my laptop to TV and use espn 360, correct?

According to the information on the link to the page, DirecTV to go has a composite A/V video out jack. That would lead me to believe that it is possible to hook it up to a seperate TV.

Last year was the first full functional year of our RV. It is a 84 Tioga Arrow, 22'. Bought it for $2000 and probablly have about $2500 into. Painted it up ISU, found some new and old school decals for it. Not a great RV but better than alot of the others I see. It is nice when later in the season, the women can stay inside.

Depending on where you are and how close you are you can get WIFI from the press box, any building in the Iowa State Center, Alumni Hall, and possibly Jacobson. They probably won't be great signals but it's worth a shot.

Re: Just got a new tailgate grill

We had those Sat Go's here at work for awhile selling and they are worthless. The battery will maybe get you an hour according to the dealers we talked to. Either way you are probably back hooking it up to a generator so why not just get a cheap tripod and extra dish and go the old fashioned way and save the money.

We may have to break down and finally buy a generator this year... Honda is the way to go correct?

Don't forget the Slingbox route if you have access to wireless internet. It's always worked slick for me.
