    OU losing players too

ISU won't have to face Kahlid Al-Amien Jr. next year Mason-Griffin is getting out of Norman. No word from Warren yet.

Players are tired of losing in conference. When you lose at home, you take lots of blame for being inept.

CFH HMagic bball season next year.

I guess this is somehow supposed to make us feel better about our own problems?

Strange that they don't say Mason-Griffin is entering the draft, but "pursuing a professional basketball career", even while they reference Willie Warren possibly declaring.

TMG may not be NBA ready, but he is definately Europe-ready. Warren was NBA ready last year and possibly would have gone if Blake Griffin didn't take up most of the spotlight.

One year of losing players is not overly concerning. 4 years in a row of bleeding your best players to other teams is a nightmare. the 2 situations are not comparable at all.

The way he played against us, I would take TMG. We could use a TMG. He was ready for ISU.

3 of 4 years - we didn't bleed anyone of importance last off season IIRC. But your point is certainly made...

If you're referring to our best players leaving, we've only lost one player to another team. Hamilton was far from our best player this year.

Agree. Just a case of us overvaluing the guy after he's gone. I liked his effort and potential and all, but other big men destroyed him in the post, and there was more than a fair share of flubbed passes off the hands... you can hardly call that the loss of one of your "best players". He maybe changes the season by one win either way.

regardless, it is still not comparable. ISU MBB has become a revolving door of players bolting. whether these are relationship problems with GMAC (Wes, Ham, Buck, Taylor, Staiger, etc), or recruiting misfires (Brister, Mann, Eikmeier, Pomlee, Vette, etc, etc), they indicate a problem with the coaching staff. Recruiting the right players, and then relating to them once they arrive are PRIMARY job requirements of our multi-million $ per year coaching staff. Learn to accomplish these two tasks appropriately, or move on. And, once you figure out these critical tasks, you may want to figure out the coaching aspect.

    Re: OU losing players too

Some comments from the article on CBS Sports point that the players leaving are "prima donnas" and the players believe that they are NBA materials. Too many egos in the team.
I wonder what people think of Jeff Capel now. Whether he was just lucky to have Blake Griffin.

I don't know. I mean they were in the Elite Eight last year, it's not like they have just sucked for 5 years.
