    Spring Game and Little Kids

Anybody taking the kid(s) to the spring game tomorrow? My son is a little over two and was too young (in my opinion) to go to any games last year. I've got clearance from the wife to head up tomorrow. Any fathers on here with real little ones with some advice? I think he'll have a blast but not sure if he will last the whole time.

I am taking a 2 and 6 year old boys. They will have fun, but I wish it would be 65 degrees instead of 50. Advice: Make him go to the bathroom before you leave and throw a pull up on him. Take some snacks and you should be set.

Re: Spring Game and Little Kids

I waited until my son was 3 1/2 before taking him to a game. We made it to quite a few football and basketball games. He's over 4 now and it's fun to watch him pick up a few of the names. He has an unnatural obsession with telling people about Rahshon Clark. We've been working on Meyer and Blythe alot this off season. The chants and cadences are always good for keeping the kids interested, make a big deal of them. My son has no idea how the game works, but he knows he likes screaming "THAT'S ANOTHER CYCLONE FIRST DOWN!".

I've been bringing the boy along since...birth. Okay his first b-ball game he was 1 and Football 2. Dress him in layers and bring snacks, he'll have a blast. My son is 10 now and enjoys the full tailgaiting experience sans beer. He laughs at the goofy college kids with us and usually wins the tailgaiting games. I'll put 5 on him vs anybody in a ladder golf game. Bocce ball and I up the ante to 20.

My son likes playing catch, going down the hill on cardboard and the band. The football game is the boring time in between those 3 things right now. He is 6 years old. He also likes shooting baskets with beer cans into the recycler.

Geesh guys why wait?? My daughter was born on Sunday, 9/24/06; brought her home Wednesday, 9/27/06; and went to the UNI game 9/30/06. That was her only game last year, but she's 1-0.

I should give you a negative rep. If you brought your daughter to a game and we won. She should have been at every game. You lost us the Karma.
