Speed - Comparing outgoing vs. incoming

From ISU Pro Day & Rivals (yes I know rivals # are not likely as accurate as pro day unless they were at NIKE camp), but for sake of discussion here is the comparison on the height, weight, 40 times. Note also that the newcomers haven't spent time with Yancy yet, so size should increase and hopefully speed as well.

Re: Speed - Comparing outgoing vs. incoming

This is good info, but it's tough to take away much of anything.

What's more important in a WR, blazing speed or a big frame?

Our incoming LB's look awfully small, but who knows how they'll respond to strength and conditioning?

I'll be interested to see a comparison 4 years from now. I suspect guys like George and Mattison will look nothing like they do now.

I'm more interested in the speed of Knott, Klien, and Taufoo and how athletic and strong they are compared to three guys leaving.

Re: Speed - Comparing outgoing vs. incoming

    This doesn't mean anything... sorry.

The speeds of these guys out of high school are garbage. James Smith was supposedly a speed demon coming out of high school. Reports were that he was a 4.4 guy. Turns out he was a 4.62 guy.

Our guys are almost always a lot slower in their pro day than we thought they were. Although Lyle was quite surprising actually.

I couldn't believe how slow Fred Garrin is. Wow.

The times listed for most high school kids are greatly exaggerated.

By all accounts, faster and more athletic. It will be the mental side that they need to improve between now and Sept.
I expect great things from those guys

This has me worried. Will a guy who weighs 19 pounds really be able to contribute?
