Wild Stats from Okie St Women vs GA

Was looking over scores and stats from Okie St WBB vs Georgia. ZERO turnovers for both teams. And 35 total points scored in OT. Both have to be close to a record.

How many shots did the one chick from OSU take? I can't believe she shoots the ball so much.

31 points on 9-30 shooting. Another efficient night for Ms. Riley...

That's embarrassing. How the heck did the sisters lose them twice, even with Lacy out!?

Don't know where you're looking, but Georgia had 12 TO and OSU had 9.

ESPN box score shows 12 and 8.

Box score from the NCAA says 12 and 9. ESPN didn't add in the team turnover for OSU.

And before you ask, a team turnover is usually given on a shot-clock violation or on a five-second inbounds violation.

Not questioning, just commenting on the discrepancy. Sounds like a reasonable explanation to me.

It's unbelievable how OSU's offense is entirely just Riley. I watched some of the game and the announcer said with about a minute left in the OT that the 4 other players (3 starters, I think) on the floor had a combined 15 points. There second leading scorer had fouled out, but seriously, after ~45 minutes for 4 players to have 15 points - that's pathetic.

If I was coaching against OSU I would go to a triangle and 2 with both chasers picking up Riley at the timeline. I'd do that until Riley could prove she could beat it. If she actually did start passing to open players AND they actually could shoot outside shots (both pretty big IFs from what I've seen) then maybe I'd start switching away from it. But I'd still mix it in just to frustrate her into passing since she seems to get mad if she doesn't have the ball.

Like your mindset. The Cunningham girl however is pretty darn good also and can really shoot the ball so i would definately do a triangle and two and just chase that riley and cunningham all over the place.
