My wife just let a Kirby vaccuum salesman in the house

I'm teaching her a lesson by making her deal with the presentation and ignoring the whole thing. This might be divorce-worthy.

Maybe she's giving you a hint that she needs a new vaccuum.

I wonder how many jobs this guy failed just to say. "F it, might as well sell vaccuums." I would pass on that job and stay unemployed, mainly cuz i'd feel like a jerk for giving the presentation.

Honestly my wife bought one and I didn't speak to her for a week. 10 years later and that thing still runs like a champ. We used to buy a new vacuum every couple of years too. You can't beat the power of a kirby. They ARE worth the money.

I have to agree, begrudgingly, though.

I think a lot of it may have to do with the economy - a lot of the sales jobs out there were door-to-door things when I did a search of desmoineshelpwanted.com for a friend a few months ago. I'd imagine it's a pretty stressful job - people are likely rude, and I'm guessing it's almost all commission-based.

Obviously the economy. But like I said I would rather be unemployed then dealing with that stress.

I have a kirby that I didn't have to pay for, and I will say it is the best vacuum I have ever used.

I know of a guy that started out selling pots and pans door-to-door and then recruited others to sell for him also and then bought a health and fitness club and then built his own health and fitness club......etc. (Some on here probably know him) It can be lucrative, but I wouldn't recommend it as a job for any normal human being!

Maybe its the other way around... all those people that harass you for amway\quixtar\primerica end up selling kirbys.

I'm more excited to get on here later when some guy posts:

I went to this house tonight to sell a vaccuum, and this lady was totally hitting on me. I'm convinced she bought a vaccuum from me just to make her husband mad.
