Is there a student section for the WBB games?

I haven't gotten a single email from Cyclone Alley about student tickets or seating at tonight's NCAA women's game. A few friends have told me that they thought they got emails saying there is, but I don't see anything on the Cyclone page. Help? Do I just buy a regular "adult" ticket or what?

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

i dont think there is.. but there is during the season.. and there needs to be more students show up then

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I'm aware of that. Guess I should have been more specific- I meant the NCAA first and second round games at Hilton.

Funny, it's one student. What makes you think other students give a ****? And this is coming from someone who does go to all the Twister Sisters' games.

ornryactor is so awesome he sometimes shows up just in time for the last media timeout to run the flag. That's such an awesome fan.

I'm not sure why you go so far out of your way (and off-topic) to bash me all the time, but I'm glad you're enjoying yourself.

I presume nobody here knows anything about student seating?

There isn't any, because tickets aren't sold the same way. The NCAA doesn't do student sections.

Pretty sure it's due to NCAA regulations.

Yeah... being in the band for several NCAA tourney games at different sites, i'm not sure that there ever is a student section.

I know that the NCAA allows host sites to do it for the tournaments of other sports, but perhaps basketball is different because they're marquee sports. We had a student section for the volleyball tournament in the fall, for example. I want to say that there was also a general admission seating area for students when ISU hosted at Wells Fargo in 2008, but that might have just been coincidence.

It's not like students can't go, there just are not student sections or special pricing. Quite a few students came here to the Twin Cities when the Cyclones last played here in the NCAA's including a good number of the Cyclone Alley gang.

It won't be sold out, get a ticket and go sit wherever there are other "student types" wearing red and create your own "student section". Just go and cheer loud. I was really impressed with the number of people at the B-12 tourney game in KC, but the volume of the noise coming form them was sad...
