    Fitting end to Longhorns season

Dagger to the heart with 1 second left to lose by one. They missed some big free throws.

They had their chances. I don't feel bad for them one bit.

I don't see how they blew that lead in OT. But I agree, very fitting end to a disappointing year.

They had way too many opportunities to seal the game at the line and failed. They talked about being mature and experienced, but they sure crapped that one down their leg.

    And at the Sprint Center.

In all honestly, if JP has a short list, Barnes had better not be on it...

After they went up by 7 in OT, it almost looked like TX was laughing and joking around versus being serious. Maybe they relaxed the last couple minutes... that and the other team made their shots and not once lacked focus like TX did.

Nice choke job at the line by both Brown and Johnson in the closing seconds.

are you joking? rb results are mo' besta than Coach McD's. I would take a first round loss over a first round loss in the B12's.

As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs

Re: Fitting end to Longhorns season

I'd take him as a recruiting coordinator as our new assistant.... but as a head coach??? Dude cannot make it out of the first round with THE most talented team in division 1A, after losing 9 games in conference. Think of what he would do with normal talent.

I can't see Rick Barnes being on any teams' short list.

I'm not even convinced that Barnes is that good of a recruiter. Texas has a number of recruiting advantages that shouldn't be that difficult to exploit.

Texas also is able to bring in a hell of a lot higher level of talent much easier than ISU. That alone will win you some games.
