    When he wasn't picked to replace Eustachy, he took the head coaching job at the University of Denver. Things didn't work out for him there, so took the head job at SECC.

    I think the JUCO level is where he is best at. He had some good teams at Indian Hills when he was the head coach there.

    Didn't have have back to back national juco championships? I know he had one the year I had a class with him at IHCC. Also, I thought he left at least a year prior to LE's issue for the Denver job if not more. Morgan may have been his replacement on staff. It would be nice to see him back in Ames, he placed several guys into D-1 programs while at Indian Hills and seemed to be able to relate to the players well.

    Yeah, in a way. He took a mysterious "leave if absence" in the middle of a bad season, then didn't return calls from his boss at Denver about the nature of his issue, or even how he was doing, or when he was coming back. After weeks turned into months of this, the AD had no choice but to fire him.
