Texas Tech player shot to the jewels

This was mentioned in TT and Seton Hall game thread last night. A Seton Hall player hits a TT player in the mommy and daddy button twice in 15 seconds and gets ejected. Thought I would post the video.

Seton Hall coach has also been fired. Something along the lines of 'performance both on and off the court'.

That's funny on one hand and pathetic on the other. I played against a kid in HS who used to do that when he went to box out. Luckily, he sucked and played on the state championsip team so if we weren't in zone we doubled one of there other guys and left him alone. The only time somebody had to actually be right next to him was when he was on D.

    That's a bit of a surprise. Here's the article:

“Performance and success are not measured solely by wins and losses, but also in the conduct of those associated with the program,” Hobbs said.
“We have expectations as to how our coaches and players will conduct themselves, and they are expected to treat everyone they interact with, whether officials, the press or our students, with the utmost respect, maturity and professionalism. Those core expectations must be met.”
University president Monsignor Robert Sheeran informed Gonzalez of the decision around noon, saying he had lost confidence in Gonzalez’s ability to lead the program.

Gonzalez also kicked a player off the team last week after the player questioned his coaching decisions in the media. Sounds like a mess.

The really odd thing is that this also happened in the Jackson St - Mississippi St game last night, although I'm not sure that guy got the boot.

Reminds me of Reggie "Hands" Evans.

It was on Sportscenter last night, I'll see what I can find.

Here you go. The replay is at 2:00.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_K3e38mLQ3s]YouTube - Phillip Williams punches Dee Bost in the groin[/ame]

The kid punched (Bost) hit 4 free throws and then a 3, meaning it was a 7 point possession. The puncher was ejected in this game as well.

If I'm a coach and a kid on my team does that, he's gone. Period. There is just absolutely no reason to do that.
