    Maybe we should hire Lickliter...

Based on how a coach does once they leave the Hawks, Lickliter might be a pretty good bet for Iowa State. Just look at Alford, Davis, Olson etc.

It should be noted all of those coaches had success at Iowa while they were there.

The press conferences would be draconian and extremely boring. Clone Zone would go kaput when he came on.

Alford looks like a keeper at this point. He has a great team out West. See them below. They can ball.

I'd rather stay home to take a nap than have to fall asleep watching his style of play at Hilton

I didn't realize we were looking for a new coach.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

Re: Maybe we should hire Lickliter...

If my only two options came down to keeping McDermott or hiring Lickliter, I think I'd rather hold onto McDermott. While McDermott has shown not a single shred of ability to win here at ISU, Iowa is an even bigger disaster. We at least had SOME hope of turning this ship around going into year 4 - the only reason why Iowa has any hope going into year 4 is because there won't be a year 4.

That being said, if there was a third option, I'd probably go with that by default.
